Choosing the hard way, on purpose

Lucky B didn’t happen overnight—and it didn’t come with a straight path.
If you’ve been following us from the beginning, you know this brand has lived under a few different names. With each change came decisions—about who we were, what we stood for, and how we wanted to show up. Those choices slowly shaped the lane we’re in today.
Leather was never about taking the easy route. In fact, it’s often been the harder one.

Choosing the Hard Way
As Lucky B evolved, we had plenty of opportunities to go faster. To automate. To outsource parts of the process. Laser engravers, mass cutting, quick design turnarounds—all of those paths were available.
We chose not to take them.
Instead, we chose to cut by hand. To design by hand. To make the majority of our own patterns and adapt others to fit our needs, our style, and our standards. Yes, we use templates at times—every maker does—but the work doesn’t stop there. We adjust, refine, and make each piece our own.
That process matters to us.

What Handcrafted Really Means
From 2019 through 2022, every sewn leather item we made was stitched by hand. No shortcuts. No machines doing the work for us. Just time, patience, and repetition.
Those years taught us something we carry into everything we do now: when you put in the work, the result means more. Not just to us—but to the people who receive it.
Handmade isn’t just about how something looks. It’s about the intention behind it. The hours spent learning. The mistakes. The pride in doing it right, even when no one else sees the difference.
Knowing Who You’re Making For
Along the way, we also learned something important—not everyone values that level of care, and that’s okay.
Just like we choose how we make our products, we also choose who we make them for. Lucky B is for the people who understand the time it takes. Who appreciate the details. Who value craftsmanship, story, and longevity over speed and trends.
We’re not here to mass produce. We’re here to create pieces that feel earned.
Making Our Own Luck
Building Lucky B has required hard decisions—turning down easier options, setting boundaries around our time, and trusting that the right people would find us.
That’s what Make Your Own Luck looks like in practice.
It’s choosing effort over ease. It’s valuing your time and skill. It’s believing that doing things the right way—even when it’s slower—will lead you exactly where you’re meant to be.

Gratitude in Every Step
None of this would be possible without the friends and family who have supported us from the beginning. The ones who believed in us when this was just an idea, a side project, a few tools on a table.
That support doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s woven into every piece we make and every step forward we take.
This is why we work with leather. This is why we build Lucky B the way we do. And this is why we’ll continue choosing intention over convenience—every time.
